I think that when the world runs correctly, the week between Christmas and New Year's will be officially named a week of reflection, and everybody can just chill out and have an interlude. Interlude is such a good word for it, too. And Bloglily: Shrimp cocktail all the way! You and I are at work on new novels; we can only be obsessive about those right now. "Let them eat shrimp!" I complain and complain, and yet sometimes it's just wonderful to have an excuse to do NOTHING. I even think I may like snowstorms because of this. And Patti: Now that I see it written out, white needle tea sounds like something that would HURT, doesn't it? Instead, it's the most calming, divine, light-tasting tea I've ever had. A little complicated to make though: you have to not let the water boil, and then you have to steep it for exactly seven minutes. No more, no less. It's a test to see how bad you want it, I think.
