I know exactly how you feel, really. We have several insurance policies with the same company and a few months ago we cancelled one. ONE, not two as the Insurance company insists we did. As a result of the extra cancellation I had a lapse in coverage on my current vehicle, a problem the helpful folks in the office insist is my fault, and mine alone. Do you know what the state of North Carolina decided the best way to reprimand me might be? Why, revoking my license plate for 30 days of course, a vehicle timeout if you will. Oy. That's all I can say.
By the way I have read and reread "You Might As Well Laugh" over and over again, I love it, after becoming a mother I have a whole new appreciation for sock bumps!

Actually, I am just impressed that you still need birth control pills!

On two levels --
1. That you think that you could still get pregnant
2. That you still have sex

HAHAHA Nah it happened a year ago - I actually went back to the WalMart Pharmacy and cried to the nice pharmacy man until he gave me the prescription. LOL.

Kat: Oh my God! So in the meantime, while you wait the 5-10 days for them to refile your insurance, let's just hope you don't get pregnant. If so, maybe you can name the baby after that lady who accidentally deleted your account. Ha ha!

Jenny: Thank you! You have given me hope here. I am going to hang in there. And let's hope it doesn't come to me threatening to come kill them and feed them to my pets. I can see it coming close...

Well, at least they're filling it I suppose. I went to walmart the other day to fill mine, and the nice doctor guy said, sorry, your insurance company seems to have canceled your policy. Thankfully, I had gone a couple of days early and had some time to put up a fuss - ends up someone at the insurance company ACCIDENTALLY hit the wrong key and deleted a good 50 accounts from their records. The best this lady could say to me was, sorry and try filling it again in 5-10 days when the problems is fixed in their office.

Hi, Sandi. Keep up the good fight. You can win! Just keep working your way up to the top of management. My theory, from battling insurance companies for the last 10 years (Chris is a diabetic) is that eventually it will become less profitable for them to keep talking to you than it will be for them to fill your prescription.

Also, if it seems like you're just being passed from idiot to idiot, you probably are. It's worth it to hang up the phone and just try again, hoping that this time you'll get someone who has worked there for more than 2 days.

If customer service reps start saying "I don't have to take this" when you're just trying to get a situation figured out, then you know you've got a really bad rep who is just putting in time to get another job. These people are supposed to be polite at all times, no matter what you say (short of threatening to come kill them and feed them to your pets). So just hang up and try again.

You can win!
